Why we love PopCode

Just finished mixing a new game site that will be launching later today. The PopCode Engine allowed me to mix the site online, in realtime, refresh, and see the changes implemented immediately. I never had to ask the developers for any sound adjustments. PopCode puts the total mix and manipulation of site audio where it belongs: in the hands of the audio experts, not the programmers. This frees the programmers up and enhances the overall quality of the aural experience. I’m LOVING it !!!!

Svenska Spel Contracts MindFunk for their On-Air Studio re-design

Svenska Spel (The Swedish state gambling commission) has awarded the contract to MindFunk to design, spec and install a complete DAW system into their on-air studio.

The audio solution is designed to both post-production and live broadcast paradigms. The production control room features a 64 bit Steinberg Nuendo system running via KVM switching to the master control room sporting an Intel Core i5 760 Quadcore and RME RayDat soundcard.

Out on the studio floor are a pair of Sennheiser ME66 Super-Cardioid Shotgun mics, Shure wireless lavaliers and an Audio Technica AT2050 Large Diaphragm Condensor for voice overs. All mics are hardwired through a rack of FMR RNC 1773 Compressors.

The system is sync’ed via wordclock to a live broadcast SDI via a NewTek TriCaster TCXD850, then passes through to an Airbox live streaming server and out to broadcast.

Battle of the Cheetos www.battleofthecheetos.com , a multiplayer online game and cross media campaign has won both FWA’s Site of the Day AND Sight of the Month awards!

We’re thrilled to have been a part of it by providing Music, Musical cues, a whole slew of custom SFX and Flash audio implementation via our own PopCode Interactive Audio Engine.
